Ziegler Strahlen- und Medizintechnik AG (ISIN DE0005659700), ein Spezialist für isotopentechnische Anwendungen in Medizin, Wissenschaft und Industrie, hat im Jahr 2010 erneut seine Umsätze und das Ergebnis aus fortlaufender Geschäftstätigkeit erhöhen können. Weitgehend organisch wuchsen die Verkaufserlöse des Konzerns dabei erstmals auf 111 Mio. EUR an, eine Steigerung von etwa 10% gegenüber dem bereits zuwachsstarken Vorjahr (2009: 101 Mio. EUR). Das Ergebnis nach Steuern und Minderheiten stieg um 26% von 7,5 Mio. EUR auf 9,4 Mio. EUR, wobei im Vorjahr zu Vergleichszwecken die den Gewinn erhöhenden Sondereffekte eliminiert wurden.
Das Ergebnis pro Aktie betrug 1,81 EUR und liegt niedriger als der bereinigte Vorjahreswert (1,97 EUR), weil die Aktienanzahl im Geschäftsjahr mit 37% stärker als das bereinigte Ergebnis mit 26% gestiegen ist.
Vom Geschäftsvolumen absolut am stärksten gewachsen ist erneut das Segment Messen und Regeln (Isotope Products), in dem die Umsätze von 46,3 Mio. EUR im Vorjahr auf 50,8 Mio. EUR im Jahr 2010 anstiegen. Von dieser Steigerung entfallen 0,8 Mio. EUR auf den Basiseffekt einer Firmenakquisition, der Rest auf eine gestiegene Nachfrage insbesondere nach Produkten für die nuklearmedizinische Bildgebung. Das größte relative Wachstum erzielte mit 16% Steigerung auf 22,6 Mio. EUR das Segment Radiopharma. Hier zogen vor allem die Verkäufe von therapeutischem Yttrium-90 zur Krebsbehandlung sowie von Produktionsautomaten für Kliniken spürbar an. Im Segment Strahlentherapie gingen die Umsätze mit Prostatakarzinomimplantaten und Tumorbestrahlungsgeräten leicht zurück; durch den Verkauf von Anlagenteilen nach Russland konnte das Segment seine Verkäufe jedoch trotzdem um 1,8 Mio. EUR auf 32,1 Mio. EUR steigern. Das neue Segment Umweltdienste befindet sich noch in der Anlaufphase und stieg um 3% auf 5,6 Mio. EUR.
Vorstand und Aufsichtsrat werden auf der Hauptversammlung am 19. Mai 2011 eine Erhöhung der Dividende von 0,45 auf 0,60 EUR pro Aktie vorschlagen.
Für das Geschäftsjahr 2011 werden Umsätze zwischen 110 und 120 Mio. EUR und ein Ergebnis nach Steuern und Minderheiten von mindestens 10 Mio. EUR erwartet. Bis Ende 2014 geht der Vorstand von einer profitablen Umsatzerhöhung auf etwa 200 Mio. EUR pro Jahr aus.

Ziegler Strahlen- und Medizintechnik AG (ISIN DE0005659700), a specialist for isotope applications in medicine, science and industry, has once again been able to increase its sales and the result from ongoing business operations in 2010. The group sales proceeds thereby grew largely organically initially to EUR 111 million, an increase of about 10% compared to the already strong previous year in terms of growth (2009: EUR 101 million). The result after tax and minority interests rose by 26% from EUR 7.5 million to EUR 9.4 million, whereby in the previous year the special items increasing the profit for comparison purposes were eliminated.
The result per share was EUR 1.81 and is lower than the adjusted value from the previous year (EUR 1.97) because the number of shares rose more in the fiscal year with 37% than the adjusted result with 26%.
In terms of business volume the segment that has seen the absolutely strongest growth figures is again the segment of Isotope Products, in which the sales figures rose from EUR 46.3 million in the previous year to EUR 50.8 million in 2010. Of this increase EUR 0.8 million can be attributed to the baseline effect of a firm acquisition, the rest to an increased demand, in particular for products for nuclear medicine imaging. In contrast the largest relative growth was achieved with 16% increase to EUR 22.6 million by the segment Radiopharmaceuticals. Here it was the sales of therapeutic Yttrium-90 for cancer treatment as well as manufacturing machines for clinics in particular that grew noticeably. In the segment Radiation Therapy the sales with prostate carcinoma implants and tumor radiation equipment declined slightly; however, through the sale of plant items to Russia the segment was able to increase its sales by EUR 1.8 million to EUR 32.1 million in spite of this. The new segment of environmental services is still in the start-up phase and rose by 3% to EUR 5.6 million.
The board of directors and supervisory board will suggest an increase in the dividends from EUR 0.45 to 0.60 per share at the shareholders' meeting on 19th May 2011.
Sales of between EUR 110 and 120 million and a result after tax and minority interests of at least EUR 10 million are expected for the fiscal year 2011. By the end of 2014 the board of directors is expecting a profitable increase in sales to around EUR 200 million per year.
