Brightcove und LG Electronics haben durch eine neue Partnerschaft die Möglichkeiten zur Verbreitung von Onlinevideos erweitert: Ab sofort können alle LG NetCast-fähigen Fernseher auch Onlinevideo-Inhalte auf Basis von Brightcove empfangen. Durch die heute bekanntgegebene Partnerschaft erhalten mehr als 2.700 Kunden von Brightcove die Gelegenheit, ihr Onlinevideo-Angebot an Fernseher mit LG NetCast zu übertragen – damit vervielfacht sich der Zugang zu Video-Inhalten erheblich.

Die durch die Partnerschaft zwischen Brightcove und LG Electronics neu entstehenden Distributionsmöglichkeiten zeigen beispielhaft, wie speziell auf das Internet zugeschnittene und nicht TV-typische Onlinevideo-Angebote ihren Weg ins Fernsehen und damit zu weiteren Zielgruppen finden.

Noch in diesem Jahr wird Brightcove weitere unterstützende Tools vorstellen, mit denen Unternehmen die Vorteile der LG Smart TV-Plattform nutzen können, darunter u.a. auch eine funktionell vollständige Referenzapplikation als Grundlage für neue Onlinevideo-Anwendungen.

Partnership gives more than 2,700 Brightcove customers around the world an unprecedented opportunity to deliver high quality programming to millions of LG Internet-connected television

SEOUL and CAMBRIDGE, Mass., February 23, 2011—Brightcove and LG Electronics (LG) today announced a partnership to expand online video distribution to LG NetCast˜™-based Smart TVs. The partnership enables more than 2,700 Brightcove customers around the world to extend the reach of their online video initiatives to the living room and provides consumers with new levels of choice and control through access to a range of highly popular video content.
